My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. This is achieved by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan tailored for your needs. I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
In response to COVID-19, we can meet on the beach early morning and enjoy the scenery while we talk. We can practice walking mediations or guided meditation to help attune your felt sense and reset your ANS. COVID has reactivated many people's trauma loop, so grounding and relaxing is a critical component to renegotiate your flight/flight response. Being on the shoreline allows for brief Somatic Experiencing interventions and a safe way for us to connect.
Somatic Experiencing ® for resolution of trauma involves a process of establishing a sense of safety. Identifying and defining what safety messed to you. SE® guides you in the process of recognizing your specific needs and overcome barriers that interfere with your internal sense of safety, This is the first step towards empowerment. During a SE® session we will help you release stored emotions, We will track different sensations in your body. We will discuss ways that past traumatic events, however minor, may still be “locked down” in your system and ways to guide you in releasing them. This process allows your body to experience more ease and energy as it flows more freely throughout, while bringing you more mental, emotional and physical clarity.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. Using Somatic Experience, I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of, release, grief and healing.
